'Like a new signing' - Plenty of West Brom fans loving transformation of one player under Bilic

This was a game that was supposed to be a tough one on paper. In the end, West Brom blew Bristol City away and made it six points from two games at The Hawthorns in a matter of days.

Slaven Bilic had a full squad to choose from and made four changes to the side that beat Sheffield Wednesday.

One player who kept his place in the starting XI was Hal Robson-Kanu and after getting criticised by the fans earlier in the season, is it fair to say he’s the number one striker now?

He got the first goal on Saturday in the 2-1 win against Sheffield Wednesday and he was on the scoresheet again on Wednesday night, getting his goal just as Bristol City briefly threatened to get back into the game at 2-1.

Matty Phillips was provider and Robson-Kanu was in the right place to profit, with Charlie Austin staking his claim for the striker spot when he scored the fourth after being on the pitch for just five minutes.

Robson-Kanu is combining well with Mattheus Pereira (who was absolutely brilliant again) and Grady Diangana and might be the unexpected answer to the Baggies striker problems.

Plenty of fans were on his side on Twitter after the 4-1 win, with one saying he was like a new signing.

Here are the best reactions to his display against Bristol City…
