West Brom target £10m permanent deal for loanee, parent club willing to sell

West Brom are targeting a permanent deal for West Ham United loanee Grady Diangana, according to the Sun.

It is suggested that the Baggies are willing to offer the Premier League club £10millon for the winger, with Slaven Bilic keen to secure promotion this season.

According to the report, West Ham are willing to let the 21-year-old leave the London Stadium, and that West Brom are top of the list to secure his services.

It is no surprise that Bilic wants to make the switch a permanent one. His side has been without Diangana since mid-December, and haven’t managed to pick up three points in the Championship ever since.

West Ham want to raise funds to strengthen their own squad, and it would make sense for both clubs if a deal was able to be reached before Friday’s deadline.

It is reported that the Midlands club has enquired about Queens Park Rangers’ Bright Osayi-Samuel, although that deal looks very unlikely.

Bilic will be concerned with his side’s recent form and will want to add to the signing of Callum Robinson in the next few days. Tuesday’s defeat saw them drop to second in the Championship, with Nottingham Forest hot on their heels.

The absence of Diangana has been a massive part of that demise. The 21-year-old has completed 2.3 dribbles per game according to WhoScored – the most in the entire squad. West Brom miss his ability to run at the opposing defence, and the sooner he is back the better.

In other West Brom news, Kevin Phillips has backed the reported pursuit of this 31-year-old
