West Brom look as if they have missed out on signing ex-West Ham starlet Jeremy Ngakia, and many fans are struggling to understand the logic behind his decision to snub the Baggies.
The young right-back left the Hammers earlier this summer after failing to agree terms on a new contract in east London.
According to The Guardian, he is now set to link up with recently-relegated Watford in the Championship.
Reliable West Ham source ExWHUemployee had previously stated that the Baggies held an interest in making a move for the prodigious talent, who broke into the Irons’ first team picture over the course of last season.
Ngakia certainly looks like the real deal too.
With that in mind, many Albion supporters are questioning the logic behind him turning down a move to The Hawthorns in favour of a stint in the Championship.
You would assume that a young player who has just broken through in the Premier League would be eager to continue his progression, but it would appear that Ngakia has had his head turned by something in Hertfordshire.
It would be pure supposition to try and figure out what his motives are for choosing the Hornets over the Baggies, but it is most definitely a blow to miss out on a player of his obvious potential – especially to a team in the division below us, and especially when he was available on a free transfer.

What a shame. O well we've still got 3425 players who we are supposed to be after.
