West Brom look as if they will have a significant battle on their hands if they are to land Grady Diangana again this summer.
According to football.london, the winger’s parent club are looking to offload several talents this summer in a bid to find David Moyes’ transfer plans, but have no intention of selling Diangana.
It is understood that Moyes is a big fan of the wide man, and is keen to offer Diangana a greater role with the Hammers next term.
Understandably, a lot of Albion fans are gutted by the update.
Diangana has been such a massively successful signing this season, and losing him would be a real blow for Slaven Bilic’s men.
According to Wyscout, the loanee had more shots on target, made more successful dribbles, and completed more successful crosses than Matheus Pereira this season.
Ultimately, however, it’s those exact reasons that make him such a desirable asset for Moyes too.
Football.london also state that the prospect of a £20 million fee has been floated, but even if the Irons could be tempted into selling at that price, you would have to ask yourself whether Albion have that kind of money to spend on a single player this summer.
The Telegraph reporter John Percy has previously suggested that Slaven Bilic will have around £20 million to spend this summer.
Blowing all of that on one player doesn’t seem like a wise idea, even if the player in question is as obviously talented as Diangana.
Here are some of the best tweets from disappointed West Brom fans:
They’d be crazy to sell but I hope this is just the standard negotiating tactic.
I hope at least they would be willing to loan him out to us again but if they do, we better not have a January recall option because I can’t go through a third January in a row of recall anxiety!!😭

If this is true im gutted we should buy Robinson along with Pereira and Krovinovic now this was the absolute heart of our team get these permanent then build from there because if not it's going to be really hard to get the team even as good as last season never mind improvement

Was never happening anyway, there are other options out there for us. Wingers more replaceable than most positions.
