Callum Robinson will face a race against time to feature for West Brom against Manchester United on Saturday evening.
The Irish forward had to drop out of the international squad last week after testing positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
As it happened at the start of the week, Robinson should be back in training by Thursday ahead of the trip to Old Trafford.
Birmingham Live have reported that Robinson’s availability will depend on two things.
Slaven Bilic and the Baggies will be dependant on the 25-year-old coming out of this feeling well, and also fit enough to take part in training in preparation.
The Albion have only just introduced their 5-3-2 formation in the defeat against Spurs and will be looking to continue that this weekend.
Robinson and Karlan Grant will be key behind this working once again, with there being no other options for central strikers at the Hawthorns.
The other outcomes could be to push Grady Diangana more central or Matheus Pereira further forward, but that could negatively affect the Baggies defence.
Bilic will be crossing his fingers.
The Croatian will be desperate to have Robinson available, but he can’t be stupid over the use of his attacking options.
Should Robinson not be available, it could be the perfect time to play Pereira in-behind Grant – with a diamond in midfield rather than three.
West Brom won 31 aerial duels and made 19 tackles according to WhoScored as they made Spurs uncomfortable, and they will need to do exactly the same at Old Trafford.
Having Robinson available will be a massive boost, and hopefully, he is feeling well and ready to jump straight back into the training.
