Celta Vigo expect Okay Yokuslu to have Premier League interest this summer
Celta Vigo expect there to be transfer interest in West Brom loanee Okay Yokuslu from the Premier League this summer, report El Desmarque.
The Spanish news outlet suggests Sam Allardyce is keen to keep the on-loan midfielder, who has impressed since signing in January.
Yokuslu has two years remaining on his current deal and as yet there are no rumours of firm interest in him, unlike fellow loanee Mbaye Diagne, who has been linked with Brighton and Crystal Palace [Football Insider].
El Desmarque also claimed the Turk joined Albion without an agreed purchase option, so West Brom will have to battle it out with any other club that registers an interest.
Please stay Okay
Of all the loan signings we have had this season we want Yokuslu to stay the most.
He has transformed our midfield and since he arrived we have competed in pretty much every game we have played.
Yokuslu is a rock in midfield and never lets an opponent past him, and he has also had a big impact on our organisation, which has made us tougher to beat.
A return of 2.5 tackles per game and a pass accuracy of 81% [WhoScored] shows how effective he has been - his key passing role against Chelsea was pivotal to the 5-2 win.
And the 27-year-old has impressed consistently.
Even in a March defeat against Crystal Palace Chris Lepowski singled him out for praise, tweeting, "Absolutely superb phase of play by Okay. Perfect example of textbook midfield play."
Yokuslu could be the best player in the Championship if he stays and he is undoubtedly a player worth building the team around.
It may be unlikely, but signing him would be a real coup.
In other West Brom news, Kevin Phillips has made a £35m transfer claim about West Brom star Matheus Pereira.
