West Brom have been in talks for Josh Maja in recent hours
West Brom have been in talks in recent hours to complete a deal for Bordeaux striker Josh Maja, according to Get French Football News.
The Baggies are keen on bolstering their attack, but they are not the only ones interested in recruiting the services of the 22-year-old Nigerian international.
Maja, formerly of Sunderland, is also wanted by Mouscron and Nottingham Forest, and he could have a new club by Wednesday morning.
The trusted French outlet posted on their official Twitter account with over 235,000 followers on Tuesday evening.
They said: “Josh Maja – a name to watch in the final hours of the window.
“Mouscron, Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion have all been in talks in the last 24 hours.”

The Baggies need to strengthen their attack despite the impressive start to the Championship campaign they have had.
Having seen moves for their striking targets earlier in the summer transfer window fall through, Valerien Ismael’s side have quickly moved on to other targets.
Maja knows all about English football from his time with the Black Cats, and he could be one to help fire West Brom to immediate promotion.
His time in France has not gone well, but he definitely still has it in him.
Maja bagged 15 League One goals in 24 appearances for Sunderland in the first half of 2018-19 before leaving for the French top-flight.
He spent the latter half of last season on loan at Fulham, scoring thrice in nine starts, and he surely would not have any trouble hitting the ground running at The Hawthorn should a move work out.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies are pushing senior player towards exit as Ismael is not a fan.
