West Brom manager Valerien Ismael nominated for Manager of the Month

West Brom manager Valerien Ismael has been nominated for the Championship Manager of the Month award for August.

The club confirmed on their website that after picking up 13 points from a possible 15, the new Baggies boss had been selected as a candidate for the prestigious award.

The other contenders include Mark Warburton, Marco Silva, and Carlos Corberan, and the decision will be announced tomorrow at 6 am.

Totally deserved nomination.

Ismael has had a transformative impact on the Baggies in the short time he has been at the club, and not only are they unbeaten in the league, but they have also been playing some brilliant football.

West Brom’s start to the season wasn’t easy either with away trips to Bournemouth and Sheffield United, but they have done brilliantly to start the season so well, and the Frenchman deserves great credit.

The Baggies spent very little in the transfer window but have managed to assemble a more than good enough squad to compete at the top end of the league.

However, Ismael deserves great credit for the way he has them playing already.

Ismael made a huge impact at Barnsley last season, and he looks to be repeating that trick at the Hawthorns.

There are some worthy candidates up against Ismael, but we believe that the Frenchman should win the award.

In other West Brom news, the Baggies should be in line for a major influx of cash soon.
