West Brom eyeing Derby County trio Max Bird, Louie Sibley and Jack Stretton

West Brom are interested in landing Derby County trio Max Bird, Louie Sibley and Jack Stretton, according to Football League World.

The Pride Park outfit could be forced to cash in on their best young players in January after entering administration earlier this year, and Brentford, Norwich City and Bournemouth are also keeping tabs on the trio.

Should Derby fail to get new owners soon, West Brom could pounce on three of their most promising starlets in order to help them raise funds, but Stretton, 20, Sibley, 20 and Bird, 21, will not be short of suitors.

The Baggies have seen their promotion ambitions stutter in recent weeks after some disappointing results, and they badly need reinforcements in January.

The striking and midfield departments could do with some fresh faces that would help get Albion’s Premier League hopes back on track, and the Derby starlets can be snapped up for bargain deals.

It is believed that West Brom do not have a lot to spend on new players, but getting the Pride Park youngsters will not cost them an arm and a leg.

Stretton has only started one Championship game for Wayne Rooney’s side this term, coming off the bench seven times and scoring once, but he has bagged six goals in five Premier League 2 games after ending last term with 11 goals in 19 games.

Bird and Sibley have established themselves as regulars in midfield, with 34 league games in between them.

The trio will be hungry to play in the English top-flight, and helping Valerien Ismael’s side secure promotion could be an appealing project to them.
