Grady Diangana must perform better for West Brom after decision regarding Callum Robinson future
West Brom are willing to listen to the offers surrounding their striker Callum Robinson for this summer, according to The Athletic.
The Baggies are already preparing for the next season after having a disappointing 2021-22 campaign where they finished in the 10th spot in the league table.
The report is a rather surprising one considering that the 27-year-old was one of the best-attacking players at the club last season.
The potential departure of Robinson will mean that Steve Bruce might have to look elsewhere, and Grady Diangana might prove to be one of those options.
With Robinson likely to leave the club this summer, it provides a massive opportunity for Diangana to establish himself as a first-team player once again.
West Brom had a disappointing 2021-22 season and the 24-year-old was just like the team he was playing in.
In an awful season — at least on the attacking front — he played 41 games for the Baggies, scoring just once and providing two assists [Transfermarkt].
The lack of goals and mobility in the final third resulted in the Baggies losing their manager in the middle of the season and finishing 10th in the Championship table.
However, Diangana must understand that the poor phase of his West Brom career shouldn’t continue for too long.
The England U21 international usually operates on the right wing, but also has the tendency to float on the left and also play as a second striker.
Therefore, for West Brom to return to the Premier League again, they would want Diangana firing at all cylinders.
In other West Brom news, there is interest in a highly-rated Baggies youngster for a move this summer.
