Josh Maja sends four-word message as West Brom transfer announcement made

Josh Maja has sent a four-word message on social media after a West Brom transfer development has emerged.

It was confirmed on Monday (1 December) that 21-year-old winger Jeremy Sarmiento has been recalled from his loan spell with Albion by parent club Brighton.

The Ecuadorian international thanked the Baggies fans for their support during his time at the Hawthorns on Instagram, with forward Maja responding by saying “all the best broski”.

It seems as though Maja was a popular figure amongst the West Brom squad after several of the players have wished him luck following his return to Brighton.

It will have come as a blow to Carlos Corberan to learn that the winger would be heading back to the Seagulls to weaken his attacking options.

It perhaps explains why his minutes in the side were reduced over the past week as the Albion boss could have been aware of his departure a few days ago.

Prior to that, six of the Ecuadorian’s seven starts during his loan spell had come over the past eight games as he did a decent job of filling in for the injured Matt Phillips.

The Baggies manager is now believed to be looking to sign two attacking players during the transfer window to strengthen his options as his side looks to challenge for promotion this season.

In other West Brom news, behind-the-scenes talks are underway regarding a £1million+ Albion player sale.
