West Brom defender Ethan Ingram set for Dundee transfer after contract update
West Brom right-back Ethan Ingram is set to join Dundee after deciding to leave West Brom according to The Mirror.
Writing on their transfer blog [3 July], Ingram was offered a new deal but has decided to leave the club.
Ingram spent last season on loan at Salford City and featured 23 times for the League 2 side, and will leave the Baggies after nine years with the club.
Ethan Ingram transfer update at West Brom
Ingram’s departure is a small blow to West Brom.
Whilst he hadn’t been able to force his way into the first team, he was offered a deal to extend his stay at the club.
The former England U21 international is one of several players leaving The Hawthorns upon the expiry of their contract.
Nathaniel Chalobah, Adam Reach, Erik Pieters, Matty Phillips, Yan M’Vila, Martin Kelly and Jovan Malcolm have all left this summer.
Cedric Kipre also looks unlikely to extend his contract.

Carlos Corberan will need to strengthen his side if they are to push for promotion again next season.
The Baggies confirmed the free signing of Ousmane Diakite from TSV Hartberg last week [BBC Sport, 27 June].
Whilst fans are awaiting official confirmation for the signing of IF Brommapojkarna defender Torbjörn Heggem [The Athletic, 25 June].
Ingram never looked set to make a push to be in Coberan’s first-team plans. The 21-year-old was utilised only as a squad player as Salford narrowly avoided relegation from League 2.
Having competed for England at U17, U18 and U20 levels, a move makes sense to help push on his career. He leaves for pastures new having not made a competitive appearance for the club.
In other West Brom news, a Kyle Bartley clause has emerged after his new contract announcement.
