West Brom need attacking reinforcements at The Hawthorns

West Brom know that they need to sign attackers this summer, and it’s no surprise that once again they are looking at the free-agent market.

The club need to raise funds this summer [Express and Star, 27 May] to make signings worth cash, but Corberan also is desperate to keep his squad together to push for promotion back to the Premier League once again.

Campbell has got plenty of Championship experience having played for Stoke for the last four seasons, and his form at the back end of the campaign helped them avoid relegation.

With Josh Maja suffering from injury problems too last season, Brandon Thomas-Asante was often left as the only natural option in attack and Jed Wallace regularly needed to fill in himself.

Campbell would be a low-risk signing that could come in and bolster the squad, but beating that level of competition won’t be easy and the team will have to move quickly to get a deal done.

In other West Brom news, Michael Hefele has released a statement after his exit from the club was revealed.
