Daniel Jebbison talks held as West Brom transfer development emerges
West Brom held talks last week over the potential transfer of Bournemouth striker Daniel Jebbison, according to Talk WBA.
The reliable Baggies news outlet took to X on 12 August to claim that it’s only seen as an enquiry from the Hawthorns outfit’s end.
Thus far, it is in clear if the club will successfully be able to secure the services of the 21-year-old Canada-born forward.
Talk WBA wrote on X: “As I understand, talks took place last week, but only seen as inquiries from our end as of right now. Whether a move happens isn’t known yet. Busy few days ahead.”
Daniel Jebbison would be a good signing for West Brom
Jebbison’s potential signing could prove to be a smart move for the Baggies.
The 21-year-old striker has shown promise during his time at Sheffield United where he shone for the under-23s side.
However, his performances at the senior level have not been eye-catching, but he’s still very young and raw and could thrive in the Championship under the right system.
Carlos Corberan has shown that he can get the best out of promising attacking talents and there’s no reason to think he cannot do the same with Jebbison or any striker who signs.
The 21-year-old’s physical attributes, including his height and strength, make him a formidable presence in the box, which could help West Brom in both open play and set pieces.
His ability to hold up the ball and bring others into play could also benefit the team’s overall attacking play and give them a better chance to secure promotion.
In other West Brom news, a major development has emerged as the Baggies eye a free transfer of an ex-Manchester United player ahead of the 30 August deadline.
