West Brom ready new bid to sign Will Keane as Preston stance emerges
West Brom are set to make an improved offer to sign Preston North End striker Will Keane, according to The Sun.
The outlet published in their newspaper [26 August, pg 47] that the Baggies will submit a second offer worth £500,000 for the 31-year-old.
Preston rejected an offer from West Brom last week, manager Paul Heckingbottom has no intention of allowing the striker to leave this summer and is keen for him to remain at Deepdale this season.
West Brom to return with an improved offer for Will Keane
Carlos Corberan and his side look unbeatable as of late and continued their incredible form in the Championship with a 2-1 win against Stoke City on Saturday [24 August].
Josh Maja scored the winner on the day and has four league goals in three appearances after his hattrick against Queens Parks Rangers on the opening day.
His form at the start of the season has been a welcome surprise for Baggies fans but it seems that Corberan is not yet satisfied with his firepower even after his side’s unbeaten start in the Championship.
With Daryl Dike continuing his rehabilitation from an injury that ruled him out for most of last season, Maja can’t carry the mantle alone if West Brom want to achieve their promotion aspirations.

Keane would be a smart move for the Baggies, he has been playing week in and week out for Preston but therein lies the problem in their approach.
Corberan will need to convince the Republic of Ireland forward to sacrifice regular minutes to deputise for Maja and potentially become the third-choice striker once Dike returns to fitness [DOOD].
The allure of the Premier League cannot be underestimated and if West Brom are promoted this season Keane will be kicking himself if he denies the move but time will tell, as Preston dig their heels in to keep their main man in Lancashire.
