West Brom set to sanction Mo Faal exit amid Will Keane transfer latest
West Brom striker Mo Faal is in discussions regarding a loan move to Barnsley, according to Football Insider.
Writing on their website [27 August], the news outlet reported that the 21-year-old has been the subject of interest from a host of clubs in the EFL this summer but Barnsley have stolen the march in the race.
Faal has struggled to break into the first team with just two senior outings and is set to spend another year away from The Hawthorns after two spells with Doncaster Rovers and Walsall last season.
The Baggies are preparing for his departure with a move for Preston North End forward Will Keane and are returning with a fresh bid worth £700,000 [DOOD] to tempt their Championship rivals to a sale.
Mo Faal set to make way for Will Keane at West Brom
Carlos Corberan has gotten off to a flyer at the start of the 2024/25 Championship season for West Brom.
With two wins and one draw in their opening three fixtures, the Baggies are establishing their credentials as genuine promotion candidates thus far.
However, the boss still sees room for improvement and will aim to strengthen his side in the remaining days of the summer transfer window to bolster the forward line.
Josh Maja has been sensational in the opening stages, following his hattrick against Queens Park Rangers in the 3-1 win on the opening day with the winning goal in the 2-1 win against Stoke City to take his tally to four goals in three matches.

Corberan will be hoping that the Nigerian carries this form throughout the campaign but, with Daryl Dike still sidelined through injury, the Baggies lack options up top after Brandon Thomas-Asante left the club for Coventry City.
Faal had the opportunity to impress the boss throughout pre-season, but he has seemingly failed to catch the eye and will leave for his sixth loan spell.
Keane, on the other hand, would be an excellent coup for the club. The 31-year-old is a seasoned pro in the EFL and would rotate well with Maja when called upon.
If West Brom can get this deal over the line they will have more than enough firepower to attack the Championship promotion spots this season.
