West Brom loanee Paddy McNair fitness update revealed
West Brom loanee Paddy McNair is ruled out with a Grade 2 or potentially even a Grade 3 hamstring injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that with the setback he suffered, after being substituted in the early minutes against Cardiff City on 26 October, he faces a gradual return to full fitness.
Given his loan deal from San Diego FC only runs until January, there is a good chance that he never plays again for the Baggies.
Reacting to his situation, injury expert Dr Brar – who is a physical therapy specialist and sports scientist – has told West Brom News: “This sounds like a moderate Grade 2 even a Grade 3 hamstring injury based on his expected timeline which is late December.
“The procedure to return to full fitness will be for him to keep working on targeted rehab and then work into individual training, team training and finally bounce matches.
“If late December is the true return, I’d expect him in training by early to mid December.
“Hamstrings are notoriously sensitive so it will be a methodical, gradual runway for him to return to true 100 per cent.“
Paddy McNair has been extremely unlucky at West Brom
Since joining in the summer, McNair has only been able to play two league games for the Baggies.
In these two games, he’s only been on the field for 94 minutes in total and it seems very likely that he may not be able to add to it.

His only other appearance has been in a League Cup clash in August against Fleetwood Town which Carlos Corberan’s side lost 2-1
In other West Brom news, an injury update has emerged on Grady Diangana after his recent setback.
