Gabby Agbonlahor mocks West Brom after what he saw in Wolves v Nottingham Forest
Gabriel Agbonlahor took a dig at West Brom after Morgan Gibbs-White scored for Nottingham Forest against Wolves on Monday.
Wolves fans were heard booing former player Gibbs-White as he got on the ball in the early stages of the game at Molineux Stadium on 6 January, but the Englishman silenced them by putting Forest in front in the seventh minute.
Taking to X, Agbonlahor explained that fans booing a player from an opposite team almost always backfires and used it as an opportunity to mock West Brom.
“Football fans never learn, man! Boo and insult a player, it makes them want to score even more!”, the former Aston Villa captain wrote (6 January).
“Wolves, Blues and West Brom know this. Good for you, Gibbs-White.”
Gabby Agbonlahor aims dig at West Brom after Gibbs-White goal
As a former Aston Villa player, Agbonlahor has a habit of aiming digs at the Villans’ arch-rivals, including West Brom, Wolves, Leicester and Birmingham City. This is one such occasion.
It is worth noting that the former striker found the back of the net thrice in the 13 games he played against the Baggies during his playing career.
He had a greater amount of joy against Birmingham, netting five times in 10 appearances against them. The same is not true for Wolves and Leicester as he managed to score only once each.
Gibbs-White, meanwhile, did not shy away from celebrating his goal at his former hunting ground as he plugged his index fingers into his ears.

Aston Villa fans will be aware that it is not a given that players are determined to silence the crowd if they insult them.
They showed no mercy to Jack Grealish when he returned to Villa Park with Manchester City on 21 December.
The Villans jeered the England international throughout the game and made sure he was on the losing end as Unai Emery’s side claimed a 2-1 victory.
