Uros Racic exit: West Brom learn conditions to get rid of loan flop
West Brom will only be able to cut Uros Racic’s loan spell short if another club are willing to pick up his wages, according to DOOD.
The Baggies insider posted on X (28 January) to report that with Sassuolo not wanting Racic back on their wage bill at any point this season, his only way out of The Hawthorns will be to a third different club.
Albion are unable to terminate Racic’s season-long loan deal early after hit-and-miss performances from the Serbian [DOOD, 11 January], with his former club Familicao currently the most likely exit route.
Uros Racic West Brom exit to go down to the wire
With Sassuolo – who were relegated to Serie B last season – not budging on their stance that Racic won’t be returning before the end of the campaign, Albion could be set to keep him in the fold.
Familicao’s interest will leave Baggies fans optimistic that an early exit could be on the cards, but with just six days left in the winter window, developments will have to move quickly between the three clubs.

Racic’s role at The Hawthorns so far this term has been stop-start at best, with nine Championship starts and 11 substitute appearances, but his impact in either circumstance has been sorely lacking.
Racic has often started in place of either Alex Mowatt or Jayson Molumby this term, but with the latter absent against Portsmouth, John Swift was instead moved into the middle and helped oversee a 5-1 win.
The Baggies’ battering of Pompey provides a blueprint for the rest of the season, and with Isaac Price knocking Racic down the pecking order, it’s no surprise to see Albion pushing him towards the door.
In other West Brom news, Albion made an approach to sign a sought-after forward with a past connection to The Hawthorns.
