Tony Mowbray left raging at ‘Slack’ West Brom star v Leeds – Don Goodman
West Brom came from behind to draw against Leeds United at Elland Road but Tony Mowbray was not pleased for the whole of the afternoon.
It was the home team who took the lead after just nine minutes but Darnell Furlong managed to get West Bro back into it with a superb header before the break.
Although he scored the equaliser, a lapse in concentration from Furlong earlier in the game left manager Mowbray dismayed in West Yorkshire.

Mowbray unhappy with Furlong for West Brom
Furlong has always been a weapon in the opposition box with his ability in the air, but Don Goodman spotted an earlier moment where Mowbray was fuming.
Before his goal, Furlong did not look so assured when in possession, and almost put his side into more trouble when behind against the leaders.
After giving the ball away in the first half, speaking live on Sky Sports Football (1 March, 12:52 pm), Goodman remarked: “Very slack from Furlong.
“Tony Mowbray down below us was from happy with the experienced right-back giving the ball away so easily.”

West Brom gain a point against Leeds United
Facing a Leeds side that were unbeaten for 16 league games coming into the clash was always going to be a tall order but with Mowbray wanting to see his side in the play-offs, these are the sorts of games that can’t scare the Baggies either.
It did take some time for Furlong to settle into the game, but his goal highlighted his experience at the back post, which will be key in these final couple of months.

Mowbray will continue to have high standards as he pushes his side for a top-six finish with West Brom and with that in mind, you can understand the disappointment over a poor moment from the 29-year-old who should know better.
However, the fact he made up for an earlier blunder shows the right type of character in the player who can keep going and improving himself in the game.
To come away with a point from Elland Road against a side in excellent form is nothing to be disappointed with and the boss will no doubt have forgiven Furlong for his later contributions.
It does mean that the Baggies sit sixth in the table, level on points with Blackburn in seventh meaning there is still plenty of work to be done at The Hawthorns.
However, with two wins in a row now, this is certainly something for Mowbray’s side to build off as they look to progress and finish in a play-off spot this term.
