West Brom want to sign Scottish striker who could be sold for ‘significant profit’
West Brom want to strengthen their attack in the summer.
Goalscoring has been an issue for the Baggies as they have the lowest goals-scored tally in the top eight and to address it they brought Adam Armstong on loan in January.
Beyond this season, West Brom will need adequate squad depth in the attacking department, especially if they are to secure a promotion to the Premier League.
Given their goalscoring woes, Tony Mowbray already has a list of potential attacking options that his side could target in the summer.

West Brom want to sign Bobby Wales to improve squad depth
West Brom are in the race to sign Kilmarnock striker Bobby Wales, who has impressed at Rugby Park, as per Football Insider.
The 19-year-old is out of contract in the summer with a number of clubs closely monitoring the Scottish forward.
Wales rose through the ranks at Kilmarnock, before heading out on loan last season to Alloa Athletic, where he garnered praise for his outstanding goalscoring. Now back at Kilmarnock, Wales has netted five goals in 27 appearances for the Scottish side.
However, the Baggies are not the only Championship side interested in the striker, with Blackburn also interested in the teenager.

West Brom aims to kill two birds with one stone with Wales’ signing. They will strengthen the squad depth and have a long-term option that can be developed and sold for a significant profit.
Blackburn and the Baggies are separated by just five points, with the Championship play-off battle expected to go down the wire.

West Brom’s shot at promotion
While automatic promotion to the Premier League looks out of reach, the West Midlands side are in the hunt for a play-off spot. The Baggies were relegated to the second division in 2021 and have been trying to secure promotion ever since.
West Brom sit on 57 points in fifth place, level on points with Bristol City but with a superior goal difference. Mowbray’s side are locked in a battle with Bristol City, Middlesbrough and Coventry City for the final two play-off spots, with Blackburn having an outside chance as they sit on 52 points.
West Brom are on a fairly decent run of form, going unbeaten in the last six matches. However, they have tricky fixtures ahead with Mowbray’s side set to face direct play-off rivals Bristol City and Coventry in April.
