Pat Frost shares what West Brom players will be saying about travelling fans at Stoke City

West Brom’s fantastic start to the new Championship season continued as they defeated Stoke City 1-0 at the bet365 Stadium.

Nat Phillips poked home the winner as Albion beat Stoke 1-0 on Saturday, as the Baggies extended their unbeaten streak in the league to four games, winning three of them.

New signing Chris Mepham partnered Phillips in the heart of West Brom’s defence, but it was George Campbell who impressed the most against Stoke, with the American putting in an impressive performance at right-back.

Ryan Mason’s fantastic start in charge of the Baggies is seeing the travelling West Brom supporters be in full voice as they are starting to believe that their side could return to the Premier League.

Pat Frost certain of West Brom players’ thoughts on away end

Callum Styles had a shaky moment against Stoke that almost cost the Albion defence their clean sheet.

Aside from that, the entire team impressed as the away end responded to the positive signs that they were seeing on the pitch.

Former West Brom kitman Frost is known to follow the Albion home and away and was in attendance for the match.

Out of anyone, Frost would be one of the first to recognise when he is in the midst of a special atmosphere when watching the Baggies, and he is certain that the noise that was created during the game will not go unnoticed by the players.

On his X account on 30 August, England’s senior kitman said: “Outstanding away day. I’ve been lucky enough to be in a lot of dressing rooms, and on the odd occasion after games the players talk about how good the away following was. Today is that day. We were brilliant.”

Win against Stoke is Ryan Mason’s most impressive so far

Given the amount of player turnover in the Black Country over the recent days, travelling to Stoke and picking up all three points is a fantastic achievement from Mason’s side.

West Brom did not allow the departures of Tom Fellows or Darnell Furlong to affect them, as they showed they are capable of keeping up their impressive form despite two regular starters choosing to leave the club.

If Albion can continue to pick up positive results, the fanbase will continue to believe that West Brom can achieve their dream of promotion, and away ends like the one against Stoke will become a common occurrence throughout this Championship campaign.
