West Brom must make another deadline day signing after crushing Karlan Grant injury blow
West Brom may be forced back into the transfer market after the latest news on Karlan Grant.
Grant was linked with a move away from The Hawthorns this summer, with Ryan Mason keen to add wingers.
Mason tried to land Mikey Moore from Tottenham, but their inability to sign the teenager kept the 27-year-old at the Championship club.
However, The Albion could now face a busy deadline day to land another signing after the latest update on Grant’s injury.

Karlan Grant set for extended spell on the West Brom sidelines
Grant has been a regular in Mason’s first team and aimed a dig at Wrexham after their second league win of the season.
The 27-year-old was benched against Portsmouth, but was not in the squad as West Brom defeated Stoke City 1-0 away from home.
- Grant has made 147 appearances for the Baggies
- He has made 41 goal contributions
- The forward signed from Huddersfield Town in 2020
Mason was without Tom Fellows for the battle with the Potters, having signed for Championship rivals Southampton.
Jed Wallace played on the right and captained the Baggies, with Mikey Johnston on the left.
Now, Grant is set to be sidelined for four to six weeks, according to Talk WBA on 31 August.
They report that the forward’s injury was deemed worse than initially expected.

Samuel Iling-Junior and another needed amid Karlan Grant news
Iling-Junior is set to join West Brom on a season-long loan from Aston Villa and presents an appealing option for Mason.
The winger spent the second half of last season on loan with Middlesbrough and showed glimpses of quality at the Riverside Stadium.
However, Iling-Junior only managed three goal contributions as Boro fell short of their play-off aspirations.
He may not be the only player who could arrive in the Black Country, as the Baggies are considerably short of quality options on the wing.
Indeed, another winger on top of Iling-Junior would put Albion in a strong position heading into a busy period of the season.
