West Brom have made zero changes to their starting lineup against Preston in the Championship.

The Baggies confirmed on their official X account (1 January) that Chris Brunt has named an unchanged eleven against the Lilywhites on Wednesday at The Hawthorns.

All of the players who started in the 1-1 draw with Sheffield United in the previous fixture have been named in the lineup for the game against Preston.

Chris Brunt makes surprising Ousmane Diakite call in West Brom v Preston

Ousmane Diakite has surprisingly been started again in the team after putting in a poor performance against the Blades.

The Baggies have failed to win any of their fixtures in the league since Carlos Corberan decided to join Valencia.

Under the Spanish manager, the Black Country competed for a place in the play-offs spot, and Brunt is expected to keep them in the race until they found a successor.

Shilen Patel and the rest of the management team have a massive decision to make regarding the new head coach to continue the progress Corberan had made.

West Brom confirmed XI v Preston.

The Baggies are eighth in the league table going into the Preston game and need to win in order to keep pace with the rest of the competition.

It remains to be seen how the eleven on the pitch will perform, considering they recently started at Bramall Lane.

Brunt will seemingly not be manager for the long run, but the Northern Irishman needs to ensure that he leaves The Albion in a better place.

The Baggies have a packed schedule in January, with the FA Cup set to commence against Bournemouth on 11 January.
