Sam Field's performance for QPR against West Brom on Saturday has been mocked by both sets of supporters.

Albion won 3-1 at Loftus Road courtesy of a record-breaking Josh Maja hat-trick with ex-Baggies midfielder Field, 26, inadvertently assisting one of them.

The Stourbridge-born ace, who is a lifelong Baggies fan and came through the ranks of the Black Country club's academy, has since gone on to play 142 times in all competitions for Rangers.

However, in that 142nd game, he did little to impress both sets of supporters.

His performance against the Baggies in the middle on Saturday (10 August) was widely criticised by QPR fans claiming that he and Jack Colback shouldn't be playing together while Albion fans mocked him for setting up Maja's third strike.

West Brom started their season with a bang in West London with Maja's hat-trick announcing his arrival back from injury with a bang.

Next up for the Baggies is a trip to Fleetwood on Tuesday night (13 August) for a Carabao Cup clash before they return to league action with a home clash against Leeds United on Saturday (17 August).
