Alan Nixon believes that Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury could be the next West Brom signing after Jed Wallace sealed his move.
Express and Star reported that the Baggies are working to secure a deal for the 24-year-old Premier League midfielder.
The Sun's Nixon believes that the former England u-21 international is still in sight for Brom and he could one they pursue after Wallace.
Via his personal Twitter account, he wrote, "Two very good frees so far and the Leicester lad still in sights. Have to say that’s decent business."
Good summer thus far
Baggies knew that not securing promotion last year was a huge blow and they could not afford to do that two seasons in a row.
Getting their recruitment right was imperative especially after they took the rather unpopular decision to continue with Steve Bruce.
Now that the decision has been made, it does make sense to back him and so far, it's working as they've signed John Swift as well as Wallace.
Signing Choudhury too, would see them make signings as if they were in the Premier League and they will certainly start next season as one of the favourites for promotion.
We're hoping to see an energised side in pre season and the first few months of the new campaign as they seemed lethargic towards the back end of 2021/22.
