West Brom & Leeds fans react to Pereira display

23-year-old West Brom winger Matheus Pereira has already been a big hit since he arrived from Sporting in the summer.

Four assists and a goal in the impressive 2-0 win against QPR have left Baggies fans drooling and while he didn’t record any attacking returns at Elland Road, he impressed both sets of fans.

Leeds might have won the heavyweight clash but West Brom had them on the back foot for most of the second half [SofaScore] and Pereira has to take a huge amount of credit for that.

The good news for Baggies fans is that there’s a £9m option to make his move permanent in the summer and that will be triggered after a set number of appearances.

That’s big money for a Championship player but, as one fan pointed out on Twitter, he looks too good for this league and will be a brilliant addition if we go up.

No disgrace tonight, we did very well particularly second half when some of the passing & movement was great to watch. Pereira was brilliant, Ajayi was immense… final ball & getting a shot off early perhaps cost us the draw. Can't fault the performance.
