Predicted West Brom starting XI v Cardiff
Slaven Bilic will be looking for a reaction from his players after a 1-0 defeat to Leeds on Tuesday saw West Brom drop to third in the table.
In truth, West Brom were unlucky and dominated the second half of the game, but they couldn’t take any of their chances.
We think the fall guy for this will be striker Hal Robson-Kanu, who blanked before being hooked off in the 62nd minute for Kenneth Zohore.
Zohore was fancied ahead of Charlie Austin and there’s every chance that he could lead the line on Saturday.
However, we think that Bilic will make just the one change and put Austin up top.
The £4m summer signing hasn’t hit the ground running yet and hasn’t scored in the Championship in four starts and five appearances.
However, Bilic hinted that Austin was going to be leading the line when he said after the Leeds game: “Charlie has been playing all the time and we took into account he would be playing three games in one week. We wanted to save him a bit for Saturday.”
Kieran Gibbs should be back in the squad but will only make the bench as Bilic rewards the rest of his players for a fine performance at Elland Road.
