‘I could do a better job than him’ – These West Brom fans blast summer signing in 2-2 draw

West Brom fans on Twitter were not impressed by Charlie Austin’s performance in the 2-2 draw against Charlton at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.

Austin, 30, has now gone three matches without scoring and with Hal Robson-Kanu hitting the back of the net twice in that time, it would seem as though it is time for a change up top by Slaven Bilic.

The ex-Southampton striker was substituted off in the 71st minute after failing to register a single shot on target.

According to stats by WhoScored, Austin also completed just 67 per cent of his passes, which was the lowest pass accuracy of any player in blue and white stripes.

Stoke are West Brom’s next opponents when Bilic’s men travel to the Potteries on November 4 and after yet another poor outing by Austin, it would not be a shock to see the Croatian manager make a change to his starting line-up.

That seems to be what some West Brom fans are suggesting on Twitter at least.
