Report details latest Pellegrini stance on West Brom loan star Diangana

It is becoming more likely that West Brom will lose Grady Diangana in the January transfer window, according to Football Insider.

The news outlet claims that West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has been handed “extensive” reports on the 21-year-old’s progress while on loan at The Hawthorns as the Hammers have the option to recall the attacker in the first two weeks of January.

It is understood that Pellegrini views Diangana as a “genuine” option for him in the New Year based on his form in the Championship and West Ham’s current struggles in the Premier League.

West Ham have not won in any of their last five fixtures across all competitions and Pellegrini was forced into several changes within his attack at the weekend due to the likes of Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini and Pablo Fornals struggling for form.

Diangana has scored four goals and supplied three assists in 12 Championship appearances for Slaven Bilic’s side, who currently sit top of the second-tier standings.

There is no doubt that if Albion were to lose Diangana in January that it would cause disruption to their season in a similar way that Harvey Barnes’ return to Leicester last term did.

In other West Brom news, the Baggies are hot on the heels of this non-league striker.
