Super computer predicts where West Brom will finish in Championship

Two data-driven Championship predictions have both got West Brom to win automatic promotion this season.

That’s the good news, although neither have the Baggies as champions, with Leeds taking the top spot in both end-of-season forecasts.

Football Web Pages has West Brom finishing in second, two places ahead of Swansea in third. Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford make up the play-off places.

They’ve predicted all the scores, too, and that will see Bilic’s men beat Stoke 1-0 on Monday before drawing with Hull the following Saturday.

InfoGol has Leeds as champions again, with West Brom in second and Fulham in third. Brentford, Swansea and Cardiff City make up the play-off spots.

Reading, Barnsley and Stoke are the relegation fodder for both predictions.

From what we’ve seen so far this season, Leeds and West Brom are playing the best football and the Baggies certainly matched their rivals at Elland Road, even though we ended up losing 1-0.

We’d be happy with both sides going up, although we’d prefer the order at the top was reversed.

In other news, the Baggies are hot on the heels of this non-league striker.
