Pereira sends message to West Brom fans after 2-0 win v Stoke
Matheus Pereira has taken to Twitter to show his appreciation to the West Brom fans who travelled to Stoke on Monday night to watch the Baggies win 2-0 at the Bet365 Stadium.
Matt Phillips and Hal Robson-Kanu were both on the scoresheet for Albion as they returned to the top of the table at the expense of the managerless Potters.
Pereira was substituted off in the second half to be replaced by Filip Krovinovic but the on-loan Brazilian still made his mark in the fixture.
He completed 84 per cent of his passes before his substitution, which was a better pass accuracy than any other West Brom starter except for central midfield duo Romaine Sawyers and Jake Livermore [WhoScored].
Pereira also completed two dribbles and no other player on the pitch managed to complete more.
It was by no means Pereira’s best performance in West Brom colours, but he still made an impact in the attack as he combined well with Grady Diangana and Phillips to help Albion on their way to victory.
On Tuesday, the South American ace took to social media to send a message of gratitude to the club’s supporters.
“A great win yesterday! Thanks for the big support! Come on Baggies,” he said via his personal Twitter account.
In other West Brom news, Adrian Durham has been waxing lyrical about this Albion player who he says belongs in the Premier League.
