Sky Sports pundit predicts West Brom clash v Hull

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted West Brom and Hull City to draw 2-2 when they meet at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Slaven Bilic’s side returned to the top of the Championship standings on Monday night with their 2-0 win against Stoke at the Bet365 Stadium while Hull are also on the up having won their last three league fixtures.

Ex-Leeds midfielder Prutton cannot separate the two in-form sides as they prepare to face each other this weekend and believes the game will end with both teams sharing four goals.

“Hull have hit a really good spell of form and, with Jarrod Bowen and Kamil Grosicki in their side, they have a great chance of beating anyone in this league,” said Prutton on the Sky Sports website.

“West Brom are top of the league and got back to winning ways at Stoke on Monday. This should be an entertaining game between two sides with plenty of attacking quality, but I can’t split them. Score draw for me.”

Hull won this fixture 1-0 last season when Fraizer Campbell scored the only goal of the game on November 3.

If West Brom want to get anything out of their trip to Humberside then they need to ensure they keep Bowen and Grosicki quiet because they are two players who can cause damage against any team in the Championship.

Luckily, Albion’s defence has shown a marked improvement in recent weeks with Kyle Bartley and Semi Ajayi proving to be thoroughly impressive in the win at Stoke.

Ahmed Hegazi is also an option for Bilic but the Egypt international may be forced to sit this game out again due to the form of the two starting centre-backs.

It will be a big game for full-backs Conor Townsend and Darnell Furlong too due to the threat that Hull pose out on the wing but if all goes to plan, West Brom should be able to prove Prutton wrong and grab yet another win on the road.

In other West Brom news, Bilic is predicted to make one change to his starting line-up for the trip to Hull.
