‘Excellent’, ‘Superb’ – Some West Brom fans rave about 30-year-old in 1-0 win v Hull

Hal Robson-Kanu earned just his second league start of the season on Saturday when West Brom won 1-0 away against Hull City.

The 30-year-old had scored three goals off the bench in his last four appearances before the trip to the KCOM Stadium and although he did not get on the scoresheet, a lot of supporters were still impressed by the forward’s display.

According to stats by WhoScored, Robson-Kanu completed 88 per cent of his passes and out of the starters for West Brom, only Romaine Sawyers ended the game with a higher pass accuracy.

The ex-Reading striker also won four aerial duels – only Kyle Bartley won more in the match – and even chipped in defensively by making one tackle and one clearance.

It was a solid outing by Robson-Kanu despite worries that he can only make an impact on matches when he comes off the bench in the second half and lot of Albion fans were straight onto Twitter after the match to sing praises of the Welshman.
