Jimmy Shan tips West Brom 28-year-old to enter management on ‘biggest stage’

Former West Brom caretaker manager Jimmy Shan has tipped Romaine Sawyers to enter coaching, and potentially management, once his playing days are over.

Sawyers, 28, returned to The Hawthorns in the summer when Slaven Bilic signed the midfielder from Brentford.

He has since been in impressive form for the Baggies, who sit top of the Championship table going into their clash against Hull City at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday.

After watching a video clip of Sawyers on Twitter, Shan posted a tweet predicting big things for the former Walsall midfielder.

“Always impressed listening to this man,” said Shan via his personal Twitter account on Saturday morning.

“I’ll call it now, if he enters the coaching world/career in management he will do it on the biggest stage.”

It is hard to make a concrete prediction on what Sawyers will do once his playing days are over but as the midfielder only turned 28-years-old earlier this month, it might not be something that he has given much thought to yet.

Although Shan is tipping Sawyers for big things in his post-playing career, everyone is just happy to see the club’s summer signing impress on the pitch for now.

Sawyers has been in terrific form for the Baggies, especially with the way that he is passing the ball in the centre of the midfield.

If his performances remain consistent, it would be fair to predict Sawyers will be a Premier League player come next August.
