Grady Diangana wants to stay at West Brom for the rest of the season, according to Football Insider.
The news outlet claims that Diangana, who joined the Baggies out a season-long loan from West Ham in the summer, would rather see out the campaign as a key first-teamer for Slaven Bilic, rather than return to the London Stadium and be a fringe player.
West Ham have the option to recall the 21-year-old in the first two weeks of the January transfer window and while Manuel Pellegrini said last week that he as no plans to terminate the attacker’s loan, that was before Manuel Lanzini suffered a fractured collarbone.
The Hammers have been sliding down the Premier League table at an alarming rate and Pellegrini has found himself under pressure to keep his job as his side have now failed to win in any of their last seven matches.
While West Ham have been suffering defeat after defeat, Diangana has been going from strength to strength at The Hawthorns.
The England youth international has scored four goals and supplied five assists in 15 appearances across all competitions for West Brom this season.
He is without doubt one of the key reasons as to why Albion sit top of the Championship table as they remain on course for a return to the Premier League.
Losing Diangana in January would be disastrous but this report about the attacker’s stance is welcome news to all West Brom fans.
