View: Three changes with midfield duo to return - West Brom predicted XI v Bristol City

Slaven Bilic is predicted to make three changes to the West Brom starting line-up ahead of Wednesday night’s Championship clash against Bristol City at The Hawthorns.

Jake Livermore and Romaine Sawyers are available after they both served their one-match ban in the 2-1 win against Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend. They are expected to return to the centre of the midfield with Semi Ajayi dropping back into the defence and Filip Krovinovic and Ahmed Hegazi returning to the bench.

Nathan Ferguson also completed his suspension on Saturday and after a rather unimpressive display by Conor Towsend in the win over the Owls, there is a good chance that the teenager will return to the left-back spot he had made his own before his three-match ban.

Kieran Gibbs is an option to play at left-back as the ex-Arsenal defender completed his recovery from a broken toe last week. However, the fact that Gibbs has not kicked a ball since August could mean it will be a few more weeks before he starts a match and Ferguson is the likeliest option to get the nod to start against Bristol City.

Sam Johnstone is expected to start in goals behind a back-four of Darnell Furlong, Ajayi, Kyle Bartley and Ferguson.

With Livermore and Sawyers likely to return to the centre of the midfield, Bilic is predicted to keep things unchanged in the attack with Matt Phillips on the right, Grady Diangana on the left and Matheus Pereira in the number 10 role behind Hal Robson-Kanu.

Charlie Austin did come off the bench to score the winner versus Sheffield Wednesday but Robson-Kanu is Albion’s in-form striker at the minute and is one of the first names on the teamsheet.

In other West Brom news, Albion have the option to recall this attacker in January.
