Sky Sports pundit predicts West Brom v Bristol City

Ex-Leeds midfielder David Prutton has predicted that West Brom will continue their winning streak with a 2-1 victory against Bristol City at The Hawthorns on Wednesday night.

Slaven Bilic’s men have won their last three matches and are currently two points clear at the top of the Championship table.

Bristol City are seventh and have only lost twice in the league this season, but Sky Sports pundit Prutton reckons that Albion will bag another three points in the West Midlands this week.

“The runaway leaders have lost just once this season – can anybody stop the Baggies this season? Leeds are the only team to have beaten them and so a win at The Hawthorns will keep their threat further at bay. Bristol City have been missing a cutting edge recently so I think their unbeaten streak will come to an end here,” said Prutton on the Sky Sports website.

West Brom are starting to put a bit of daylight between themselves and those outside of the automatic promotion spots in the Championship.

Second-placed Leeds are still within touching distance of the Baggies but Bilic’s side is now five points ahead of third-placed Preston.

It is bound to be a tough game for Albion when they take on the Robins this week but as Prutton has pointed out, Lee Johnson’s side has found it touch to score lately with just one win in their last two.

West Brom’s home form – despite being unbeaten at The Hawthorns – is not the best in the league by any stretch and a draw is still a likely result.

But we have to agree with Prutton and back the Baggies to secure maximin points with both teams scoring.
