Slaven Bilic delivers fitness update ahead of West Brom v Swansea

Slaven Bilic has posted a clean bill of health for West Brom in his Friday press conference.

West Brom beat Preston on Monday with a late and controversial penalty, converted by Charlie Austin.

The Baggies don’t play until Sunday, when they host Swansea, and the good news is that Bilic has almost a full squad to choose from.

The only player missing is Rekeem Harper, who hasn’t been involved in a game since the opening day of the season.

Talking in his press conference, as quoted by Birmingham Live, Bilic said, “No, it’s all good. Think only Rekeem Harper is missing from training today, and that’s something to do with a tooth.

“Brunty should be back and that’s basically it. That’s it. We are fully fit, but because yesterday was a day off – we play Monday and Sunday – it’s basically one day less.”

West Brom’s victory over Preston on Monday means that Bilic has presided over five wins in a row for the first time since Roberto Di Matteo back in 2010. West Brom were promoted to the Premier League that season.

Not even Di Matteo could do six in a row and that’s what Bilic is looking for on Sunday.

Leeds have the chance to go top of the league on Saturday when they play Huddersfield in the early kick-off.

However, a victory against Swansea would see West Brom two points clear again.
