West Brom players react on Twitter to 5-1 win v Swansea
Anything Leeds can do, West Brom can do better.
Stats sites and the bookies might still be predicting a Championship title for Leeds but Slaven Bilic’s men are the form side in the league at the moment and showed it by demolishing Swansea on Sunday.
West Brom have had a hard run of fixtures but have cantered through them without a care in the world. The 5-1 thumping of Swansea makes it six in a row for the Baggies and that could be seven when we travel to Wigan on Wednesday.
Promotion is the only thing that matters and there’s a growing gap between Leeds and West Brom and the rest. Fulham are third but they’re eight points behind Leeds and 10 points behind us.
It wasn’t just the fans who were made up with the win on Sunday. West Brom’s players were on a high as well.
Romaine Sawyers praised the attackers, saying, “What a statement made with that performance! It was a pleasure to have a front-row seat to watch our attacking players. Long may it continue.”
Matheus Pereira has probably been the best player for us this season and the star man was lost for words after a game in which he added another goal to his growing tally.
He simply said, “I don’t know what to say”, in reply to an official post that just read “Passion!”
