‘Lightweight’, ‘Nowhere near the level’ – Some West Brom fans blast one player at HT v Wigan

West Brom fans have blasted Filip Krovinovic for his performance in the first half against Wigan on Wednesday night.

Krovinovic was surprisingly named to start at the DW Stadium by manager Slaven Bilic, who opted to rest a handful of key players ahead of Saturday’s derby match against Birmingham.

Krovinovic has not had too many opportunities to start in the Championship since Matheus Pereira started to impress but it would be fair to say that the Croatian failed to grasp his opportunity in the opening 45 minutes against Wigan.

He just seems to be a completely different type of player to Pereira.

Pereira is someone who takes risks and is not scared to try a defence-splitting pass whereas Krovinovic just semes too laboured in possession at times.

He’s good at keeping the ball but for a cutting edge, Pereira is a far better option in the attacking midfield role.

Albion fans on Twitter were less than impressed by what they saw from the Croatian playmaker and here is a selection of their tweets:
