West Brom key player could be ruled out of next 3 fixtures – report

West Brom could be without key attacker Grady Diangana in their next three fixtures, according to the Express & Star.

The newspaper claims that Diangana, 21, is suffering with a “slight niggle in his back” but is expected to be back in time for Albion’s clash against Leeds United on New Years Day.

He will miss Saturday’s match against Brentford, the trip to Barnsley on Boxing Day and most likely the Middlesbrough game on December 29. But it is understood that the huge Championship fixture with Leeds could be when the England Under-21 international returns.

Diangana has been one of the stand-out players for West Brom this season.

Since joining the Baggies on a season-long loan from West Ham, he has scored five goals and supplied six assists in 20 appearances across all competitions.

There is still a chance that West Ham could recall Diangana from the Black Country in the first two weeks of the January transfer window but it does seem as though if that was to happen, it would happen after the match against Leeds at The Hawthorns on New Years Day.

Hopefully Diangana remains on the books at West Brom for the rest of the season but Slaven Bilic and Luke Dowling will more than likely have a list of replacements just in case Manuel Pellegrini opts to terminate the attacker’s loan in the West Midlands.
