‘Yes please’: Some West Brom fans react to transfer report, would be ‘fantastic bit of business’
Jarrod Bowen has been one of the best players in the Championship this season and West Brom fans on Twitter are thrilled by the prospect of signing the Hull attacker in January.
According to The Athletic, West Brom are “looking at ways” to meet Hull’s £20million-valuation of the 22-year-old.
It would be an audacious move by the Baggies, especially as Bowen is attracting interest from the Premier League with Newcastle also said to be hot on the heels of the Herefordshire-born forward.
Bowen has scored 17 goals in 23 appearances across all competitions this season for Hull and West Brom clearly see the Humberside ace as someone who can not only help them in their bid for promotion this season but also make an impact in the Premier League.
Albion are unlikely to make permanent signings in January unless Slaven Bilic and Luke Dowling feels as though they can be used in the top-flight.
Although it is only mid-December, it seems as though the Baggies are well on course for automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Signing players on permanent deals in January could just be a waste of money when loans might make more sense.
But with Bowen, he is certainly someone who looks ready for the step up and fans on Twitter are buzzing with this latest update on Albion’s interest in him.
