‘Not ideal’ – Slaven Bilic opens up on possible West Brom additions in January

There aren’t many positions that spring to mind when you think of areas that West Brom may need to strengthen in January.

A majority of the summer signings at the Hawthorns have excelled in the first half of the campaign. Romaine Sawyers and Grady Diangana significantly strengthened the side, and Slaven Bilic has utilised the incomings perfectly.

So, it shouldn’t be a busy January for West Brom on paper. Bilic has a strong side, and it can upset the rhythm of a team to bring in too many fresh faces midway through the campaign.

Bilic has opened up on the upcoming window, and his comments won’t exactly fill Baggies’ fans with much hope.

“Not a lot, not a lot, but there is always a room to improve any team,” Bilic told the Birmingham Mail.

“January is not ideal, because it’s January, but it’s possible.

“We are not panicking. We are not rushing. We have a situation as you know with some players who are on loan; also we have some of our players out on loan.”

That won’t exactly make West Brom fans sad, after all, you know the saying, why fix something that isn’t broke?

Bilic clearly has confidence that should a deal pop up, the Baggies can take advantage in the window and there would surely be a number of quality players that would make the switch to the Midlands.
