‘Scary good’ – Darren Bent makes prediction about West Brom

Darren Bent has claimed that West Brom should have won their last two fixtures but still predicts them to win automatic promotion this season.

Albion have been held to draws by Brentford and Barnsley in their most recent fixtures but remain three points clear at the top of the Championship table and 11 points clear of third-placed Brentford.

Slaven Bilic has still only suffered one league defeat as West Brom boss and Bent admits that record is one of the reasons why the Black Country club should secure promotion this term.

“If you look at their last two results you would say that they should have won both, especially with the form they’re in,” said Bent on EFL on Quest on Boxing Day.

“One positive for West Brom is that they’ve only lost one game all season, which is scary good.

“So they’re still top of the table quite comfortably and I fully expect them to be one of the two who get automatic promotion.”

West Brom need to start turning their draws into wins if they want to earn promotion as comfortably as possible.

Bilic has overseen some huge wins in charge of the Baggies but there is definitely an issue when it comes to securing wins against some of the lesser teams in the division.

Albion have been held by the likes of Millwall, Barnsley, Wigan and Reading, who are teams that you would be expecting them to beat.

There is no reason to panic about any of these results yet when West Brom have an 11-point gap between themselves and third.

But it is certainly something that Bilic needs to be mindful of.
