‘Shouldn’t play for us again’, ‘Cut our losses’ – Some West Brom fans destroy 25y/o v Barnsley

Kenneth Zohore made a rare appearance for West Brom on Boxing Day when he appeared off the bench in the latter stages of the 1-1 draw against Barnsley at Oakwell.

Since joining the Baggies from Cardiff for a staggering £8million in the summer, Zohore had only managed 10 appearances for the Black Country club before Slaven Bilic threw him into the action in the 62nd minute of their clash with the Tykes.

His last appearance before the trip to Oakwell came when he made a one-minute-long cameo away at Hull on November 9.

West Brom fans have barely had a glimpse of Zohore due to his injury issues and the impressive form that Charlie Austin and Hal Robson-Kanu have shown this season but it would be fair to say that the ex-Cardiff striker failed to impress supporters in his outing at Barnsley on Thursday.

According to stats by WhoScored, managed just seven touches of the ball in the half-an-hour that he was on the pitch.

He had one shot – which was off target – and failed to win any of the four aerial duels he was involved in.

Zohore’s inclusion in the match was a waste of time and it is unlike Bilic to waste a substitution when usually his in-game management is what sees West Brom pick up maximin points.

Albion fans on Twitter were not at all happy with what they saw from the 25-year-old Dane and here is a selection of their tweets:

In other West Brom news, Bilic has shared an injury update on Kyle Bartley and Grady Diangana.
