Sky Sports pundit predicts scoreline of West Brom v Middlesbrough
Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted that West Brom will return to winning ways when they take on Middlesbrough at The Hawthorns on Sunday.
Albion have drawn their last two matches with Brentford and most recently Barnsley, who scored a late goal on Boxing Day to stop the Baggies from moving five points clear at the top of the Championship table.
However ex-Leeds midfielder Prutton has tipped Slaven Bilic’s side to win 3-1 against Boro this weekend via the Sky Sports website.
It would be an important win for West Brom to pick up all three points against Middlesbrough.
Not only would it see them bounce back to winning ways and possibly build on the gap between themselves and third place, but it would also be a great boost ahead of the meeting with Leeds on New Years Day.
West Brom may have drawn three of their last four games but they are still in a commanding position in the automatic promotion spots and Leeds’ form has been worse than Albion’s.
Victory against Boro this weekend, without any fresh injuries to worry about, could be a huge step towards sealing automatic promotion and maybe even the race for the title if it helps lead to a win against Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds.
