‘Worst individual display we’ve seen all season’ – Some West Brom fans destroy player v Leeds
West Brom fans have blasted midfielder Filip Krovinovic for his performance in the 1-1 draw against Leeds United at The Hawthorns on New Years Day.
Albion missed their chance to return to the top of the Championship table as they were held by Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds.
Semi Ajayi was responsible for both goals, netting in the opening minutes for the Baggies before an own goal levelled the scores in the 52nd minute.
Krovinovic, 24, was someone who really failed to impress some West Brom fans on Twitter for his performance in the top-of-the-table showdown.
The Croatian playmaker, on loan from Benfica, has struggled to impress The Hawthorns’ faithful since his arrival in the summer.
Although Krovinovic has shown he is extremely technically gifted and a great passer of the ball, there has been a real lack of cutting edge shown by him in the attack.
However the 24-year-old failed to even show off his positive traits on Wednesday when Leeds were in town.
According to stats by WhoScored, Krovinovic completed just 79 per cent of his passes against the league leaders, made one key pass and failed to complete a single dribble.
Since joining the Baggies on loan from Benfica, Krovinovic’s average pass success rate is 86.8 per cent so there was a major dip in his display against Leeds.
The Zagreb-born playmaker has since been on the end of a lot of criticism on social media from West Brom fans.
