Steve Madeley shares update on West Brom link to Emre Mor
West Brom are not interested in signing Celta Vigo attacker Emre Mor this month, according to The Athletic journalist Steve Madeley.
Spanish news outlet El Desmarque had reported earlier this week that Mor, 22, was set to have his loan spell at Galatasaray terminated and, as a result, had emerged on the radar of promotion-chasing West Brom.
It was reported that Albion had even held talks with the Turkey international’s agent as they aimed to bolster their attack this month with the former Borussia Dortmund winger.
However local journalist Madeley has now reported via his personal Twitter account that there is nothing in the links with Mor and fans should not expect to see him head to the Black Country this month.
West Brom are unlikely to do much business this month.
Do they need a new right-winger like Mor? There’s definitely not a huge demand for it when Albion’s attack, over the course of the season, has been brilliant.
If Grady Diangana is recalled by West Ham then yes, Bilic and Luke Dowling will need to bring in a replacement to play on the left-wing.
The full-back area is another one that could do with being bolstered if Nathan Ferguson leaves as Kieran Gibbs has only managed nine league appearances this season due to constant injury issues.
Most fans would say a striker is needed but if you look at the table and how evenly-spread the number of goals are across the West Brom squad, does Bilic really need to splash out on that area?
In other West Brom news, wholesale changes are predicted for Bilic’s line-up against Charlton this weekend.
