BBC pundit names West Brom ace who will be ‘vitally important’ in promotion push

Grady Diangana made his return from injury on Saturday as West Brom drew 2-2 against Charlton at The Valley.

The 21-year-old winger came off the bench in the 70th minute but was unable to help the Baggies back to winning ways in the Championship as they were held by Lee Bowyer’s side.

Diangana had missed four league fixtures during his absence and Slaven Bilic failed to see his side run out winners in that time.

In fact, since moving to The Hawthorns on loan from West Ham in the summer, West Brom have failed to win any of their six league games that Diangana has not taken part in.

BBC London pundit Sam Parkin, formerly of Walsall and Swindon, has suggested that Diangana is going to be one of the key players for West Brom as they aim to seal promotion back to the Premier League.

“Diangana’s come back into the fray and he’s going to be vitally important if they can remain up there with Leeds,” said Parkin on EFL on Quest on Saturday night.

West Brom fans knew how influential Diangana was to how they play but nobody could have predicted just how influential he would be.

It is pretty clear that Albion’s zero per cent win-rate when the winger has not played means that the on-loan winger is one of the most important players in the squad.

If West Ham recall the England Under-21 international then it could be disastrous for the Baggies unless a solid replacement is brought in.

In other West Brom news, fans have blasted this player for his display at Charlton.
